'I would be surprised if Tottenham didn’t clinch that fourth space because Liverpool are inconsistent.'
Date published: Wednesday 15th March 2023 12:09 -Michael Owen doesn’t think Liverpool will make the top four this season as he fancies Antonio Conte’s Tottenham side to pip them.but they followed it up with a disappointing performance against Bournemouth.Owen thinks that by the end of the season, Liverpool’s inconsistency will ultimately cost them a place in the top four.
“After Liverpool were chasing them down and getting closer and closer. They will be breathing a sigh of relief now because they have a bit of a cushion again.” Tottenham themselves have been just as inconsistent as Liverpool this season, but they are currently in the driving seat with a six point advantage.
“I am not sure it is the season where we have the best chance, but let me say if we can surprise ourselves in a negative way then we should be able to surprise ourselves in a positive way as well,” Klopp told reporters.
