An Easton couple is facing animal neglect charges after 18 cats and six dogs were found living in filth last year in a city home that was condemned. was notified by Easton police that a large number of cats and dogs were living in unsanitary conditions in a home in the 1200 block of Ferry Street. Police reported a dead dog had been removed from the property, and the building was condemned.
On the second floor, the officers found “numerous” cats running loose, and animal waste in every room, court papers say. Some cats appeared to have upper respiratory infections and visible conjunctivitis.
