Leeds United will be looking to record a second straight Championship victory when they travel to face Hull City on Wednesday night and Liam Rosenior has given an injury update
Ozan Tufan could make his return for Hull City for the midweek Yorkshire derby clash with Leeds United. However, Tigers boss Liam Rosenior admits he is wary of risking the influential midfielder and potentially aggravating his thigh injury.
He told Hull Live: "Ozan will train again today . He had another session on Saturday, he's looking good. I'll assess him today and then we'll train again tomorrow and I'll see where he's at for Wednesday." Hull remain in the playoff spots despite the 1-1 draw with the Sky Blues in their last outing, but could be leapfrogged by Leeds if Daniel Farke's side pick up a second straight win. Rosenior acknowledges Tufan makes his side a 'better team', but is wary having been stung on a similar call with Allahyar Sayyadmanesh last season.
"Having Ozan Tufan in my team and in my squad makes us a better team and a better squad but what I don't want to do is lose him for four months for risking him. He's desperate to get back, he's had an unbelievable start to the season but I want him for the full season, so that's a decision we'll make. If he's fit enough, he'll be part of the team and a part of the squad for Wednesday.
