The former Black Sabbath singer has announced that he is effectively retiring from touring

Singer Ozzy Osbourne has announced that he is effectively retiring from touring as he is not “physically capable” of completing tour dates in Europe and the UK following extensive spinal surgery.

Since then he has performed at events such as the closing ceremony at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and an NFL game in the US in September, but eventually, he needed surgery to deal with his injury. In a post on his Instagram on Wednesday he said:"This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans.

"My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on"However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics Treatment, my body is still physically weak.
