Of that sum, physical albums comprised 1.308 million and digital albums comprised 350,000 .
There were 637,000 CD albums sold in the week ending Sept. 15 and 659,000 vinyl albums sold . Year-to-date CD album sales stand at 24.112 million and year-to-date vinyl album sales total 27.201 million . Overall year-to-date album sales total 66.196 million . Year-to-date physical album sales stand at 51.680 million and digital album sales total 14.516 million .
