With the GAA’s Aims and Ethos outlining the association’s non-political status, any moves by Croke Park on Gaza would be tabled on humanitarian grounds – and may yet include a donation to aid agencies working on the ground in the region. Delegates at the meeting were also informed that the Central Competitions Control Committee has been asked to draw up various fixture programmes that could facilitate moving the All-Ireland finals out to August or September – and those options will be put forward to next month’s Central Council gathering for discussion.
