Wilkes-Barre Township Police responded to a call on Chestnut Street around 4 p.m. on Saturday about a man suffering from hallucinations due to a medical condition.
State police then said that at 9:30 p.m., a call came from another nearby home on Chestnut Street about bullets being fired into their home. Approximately 30 gunshots were reported between then at 11:15 p.m.
Nugent was taken into custody and sent to a local hospital. He has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure.
