From April 2020 through February 2022, Pennsylvania has recovered approximately 82% of jobs lost due to the pandemic, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry. In the midstate, the latest employment numbers for the Harrisburg-Carlisle area were released last week. Those numbers are from January. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for the Harrisburg-Carlisle area was 4.2 percent in January.
