Pablo Hernandez spent half a decade at Leeds United, winning the Championship trophy

Pablo Hernandez has told of how he played his best football of his CAREER at Leeds United - labelling his time at Elland Road as special.

A cult hero in west Yorkshire, Hernandez is remembered fondly by those who worshipped him from the terraces - and the feeling is mutual, as he labelled the fans as those who 'always get behind you'.He told FourFourTwo: "Before I arrived, people told me that Leeds were a massive team in England but hadn’t played in the Premier League for many years or made much impact on English football.

"It felt amazing. We had a special connection from day one, because they saw that I gave 100 per cent in every game. Hernandez, of course, played in the Bielsa era. His most fruitful seasons came under the Argentine, scoring 21 Championship goals across two seasons as the Whites finally returned to the top-flight following a 16-year hiatus - and as a result, Hernandez claims it was his best football.
