And the teenager gave his mount a great ride to finish a close-up third as Stephanie Searle won the race on the Willie Mullins-trained Icare Desbois."Thanks to Gordon for giving me him. It was some thrill. "There was a good bit of traffic at the start, but I think I handled it well and got him up. He helped me out as well and kept going, so it was really good." Pat Smullen's legacy in horse racing lives on not only through Paddy but also his wife Frances Crowley and their daughter Hannah.The Pat Smullen Pancreatic Cancer Fund has already raised over €3 million since 2019.
