The Funck Restaurant Group recently purchased T.J. Rockwells American Grille locations in Elizabethtown and Monroe Township.
The group, lead by Alan Funck, owns a handful of area establishments including Funck’s Restaurants in Leola and Palmyra, The Rising Sun Bar + Kitchen in Campbelltown and Snitz Creek Brewery locations in Lebanon and Annville. It recently acquired the Quentin Tavern in Lebanon and Mount Gretna Hideaway.the deal had been in development for several years and no major changes are planned at the restaurants.
T.J. Rockwell’s dates back to 1997 when Jeff and Steve Heckman opened the first one in Elizabethtown. They branched out in 2007 with the Monroe Township location. The restaurants are known for extensive outdoor dining and American pub menus filled with burgers, fajitas, soups, sandwiches and appetizers such as signature Rhino fries, made with melted cheese and bacon served with ranch dressing.
