Izzeddeen Alkarajeh, who runs the popular Izz Cafe in Cork city, said the symbol was spotted scraped into the path in front of the George’s Quay restaurant this week
The Palestinian owners of a Cork cafe have hit out at “laughable” intimidation attempts after a star of David was powerwashed onto the pavement outside their premises.

However, other staff in the restaurant are constantly worried about the safety of their loved ones who have been caught in the fighting since October.
“It’s a flag that represents a rogue state that is not abiding by international law and they are performing a live genocide. If they are a real human being they would discover that they are not on the right side of the conflict.”
