Paloma Faith has opened up on the terrifying ordeal she faced when she was starting out as a singer, saying she had to hit a man to stop him sexually assaulting her

In a candid confession, the singer and actress, 42, opened up on the terrifying incident that she said happened at the beginning of her career.

Writing in MILF: Motherhood, Identity, Love and F******, Paloma said: "One day, in my early twenties, I was coming back late at night from a cabaret job I was doing. Sadly, the terrifying ordeal wasn't the only incident the New York songstress has had to face. She further opened up on two other potentially dangerous situations she was in. In one incident, Paloma admits she still isn't entirely sure what happened.

Calling the scary incident "dark times", Paloma said she woke up with no clothes on in someone's bed. She added that she doesn't know exactly what went on at the time.
