Suspicious package found at An Post depot was 'viable improvised explosive device', Defence Forces confirm
The suspicious package found at An Post's sorting office in Co Limerck was a "viable improvised explosive device", the Defence Forces have confirmed.
The group said it posted five devices to addresses in Britain, however only four had been discovered at the time the claim of responsibility was sent to a Belfast newsroom.He told RTE: "We have reason to believe this could be the case." A garda spokesperson said: "An Garda Síochána are currently investigating a parcel of interest identified at the Limerick An Post sorting office shortly after 6am this morning, March 22 2019.
