Paediatric Inflammatory Multisystem Syndrome is a rare inflammatory condition some children develop after having COVID. Parents are now campaigning for more awareness of the condition among parents and medical professionals.

iNews.co.uk has this week reported that more than 3,300 parents have joined forces to speak out about Paediatric Inflammatory Multisystem Syndrome, also known as PIMS-TS, an acute inflammatory syndrome that can arise in children who’ve had COVID – to raise awareness of the condition among the public and medical professionals.

‘So many of us were initially turned away or misdiagnosed – after all this time, this shouldn’t be happening anymore.’ Doctors are much more aware of this post-COVID condition now but parents whose children have been misdiagnosed or impacted by it say more needs to be done.
