The Ukrainian Village’s Breads and Beyond Bakery presented a $4,000 check to representatives of the United Ukrainian Organization of Ohio. The proceeds were from the bakery’s fundraiser selling more than 2,700 hand-decorated Ukrainian flag cookies.
On Friday , the Ukrainian Village’s Breads and Beyond Bakery presented a $4,000 check to representatives of the United Ukrainian Organization of Ohio.
“It’s a very tight-knit community,” Breads and Beyond Bakery owner Robert Uhlir said. “We look out for each other. Our bakery is right in the heart of it. Everybody is looking to find ways they can help people from Ukraine. “When I posted on my Ward 9 Councilman Facebook page, there were hundreds of likes and shares on this post as well. We stand with Ukraine.”
