Minister says statement will come at ‘earliest possible opportunity’
Mr Donohoe made the comments prior to taking priority questions in the Dáil this morning.
The Galway West TD said Mr Donohoe had the “perfect opportunity” to answer questions in relation to his 2016 general election campaign expenses during priority questions on Thursday, which would run over one-and-a-half hours. Mr Donohoe disclosed to the Dáil on Wednesday that businessman Michael Stone made two other donations worth €1,716 to Fine Gael in addition to the postering services he donated during the 2016 general election campaign.
A total of €917 was donated by way of services by workers erecting the posters and a further €140 for the use of a van.
