Pat Kenny reveals his heartbreak after the death of his beloved pet dog Caspar

Pat Kenny has opened up about the devastating loss of his dog Caspar who was part of the family for years.

The broadcaster said that his two Weimaraner dogs Caspar and Ruby meant the world to him and he is heartbroken that he has only left. Pat told the Irish Sun: “People stop me and say ‘where’s the other dog’. I have to tell them, he’s gone. Of course I feel sad, I still feel the lack of him, and I miss him.

“You feed them and care for them, look after their medical bills. But the dogs are also good for you, because they drag you up Killiney Hill on nights the rain is bucketing down.”The presenter explained how the prized pooches became a huge part of his life when himself and wife Kathy married and had a family. An emotional Pat said: “Like most dogs, Caspar was uncritically worshipping, particularly of my wife Kathy. He was a friend to all.
