Exclusive: Pat was at the premiere of Netflix's new Irish crime series Bodkin on Wednesday night
Comedian Pat Shortt has opened up about reportedly inspiring Brad Pitt's accent in Guy Ritchie's Snatch.
Pat told The Irish Mirror: "I've heard that story. Well it makes sense. I know the reason, do you? He was going out with Jennifer Aniston at the time. She was in LA and he was supposed to be in London but he was spending more time with her and he had an Irish voice coach who sent him on the tapes to do a bit of research.
Asked if he found it tough to pull off the Irish accent for The Devil's Own, Brad told JOE.co.uk: "That was probably more extreme. There is a real music to Northern Ireland that I click into, that I kind of adored." The dark comedy series was produced by Barack and Michelle Obama as part of their deal with the streaming giant.
