Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley had gone public with their relationship just four months before they said ‘I do’ in a whirlwind Italian wedding back in 2012. Now, after more than 14 years and two children together, the pair are at the height of their careers - on opposite sides of the Irish Sea.How they met: The TV presenters met while co-hosting Fame Academy in 2002, however their romantic relationship didn’t begin until 10 years later.
“He said, ‘Oh, what are you doing for your birthday?’. I said, ‘Oh, we’re going to the Beverly Hills Hotel. We’re just going to have a late brunch; it’s going to be very civilised. It’s a shame you’re not here, otherwise, you could come’. Cat has admitted to buying her wedding gown by designer Alexander McQueen more than a decade before their wedding day and before she even met Patrick.
While Patrick spends part of his week in Ireland to host the Late Late Show, Cat and the children are in the UK full-time where they attend school and she hosts This Morning. However Patrick has said it’s a “myth” that they have a long-distance marriage.
