Patrick Kielty's second Late Late Show garnered praise for his hosting, but his surprise announcement of an upcoming Country Music special left viewers divided. While some expressed enthusiasm, others vowed to give it a miss.
The Co Down comedian has received near universal praise since taking the reigns from former host Ryan Tubridy.
At one stage the studio descended into chaos as a flash mob of jiving couples appeared around the presenter seemingly out of nowhere. He went on to show a video message from US country music superstar Shania Twain, who said: "Hey it's Shania Twain and I want to wish Patrick and all the artists the very best for his first Late Late Country Special on October 6th. I know it's going to be a lot of fun so make sure you tune in."News of the return of the Late Late Show Country Music Special left viewers divided, with some delighted while others vowed to give the show a miss.
Other viewers weren't so thrilled however, with one person saying: "The Late Late Show: Patrick Kielty has announced a Country Special for October 6th "
