Patrick’s Kielty’s duet with Daniel O’Donnell proved a hit with Late Late Show viewers as the show saw a slight boost in ratings.A spokesperson for RTÉ said: "Friday night’s Late Late Show was watched by an average audience of 450,000 on RTÉ One and RTÉ One+1 - with 38 per cent of the available audience watching on RTÉ One. On RTÉ Player, this programme has generated 37,000 streams to date.
They added that the episode, which saw Daniel O’Donnell hailed online as a ‘national treasure’ with X-rated innuendos and a duet with host Patrick, also won ratings on social media. It comes after the chat show saw a drop in viewers last week, with an average of 432,000 viewers reported. However, RTE insisted that viewers are 'positive' about Kielty hosting the late night chat show despite the steady decline since his debut.
