The jury in the murder trial of Patrick Quirke has been told by the judge that she will accept a majority verdict.They have been deliberating for a total of 18 hours and 24 minutes.
Patrick Quirke, 50, of Breanshamore, Co Tipperary has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Bobby Ryan, a part-time DJ going by the name Mr Moonlight. Judge Eileen Creedon addressed the jury this morning and told them she will accept a majority verdict.At least 10 of the jurors have to come to a verdict on which they all agree.
