McGrath recently underwent knee replacement surgery at Santry clinic.

Paul McGrath has joked that he is 'ready' to earn his 84th cap for Ireland after undergoing knee surgery.

Taking to social media on Monday, the 63-year-old posted a snap of him leaving the hospital along with a caption that thanked the staff for their help."Thanks so much to Ray Moran and his team @SSCSantry for everything the past few days," posted McGrath on X . McGrath was rather infamously plagued with knee issues throughout his illustrious career and was forced to change his training regiment in order to be ready for the weekend.
