Paul Mescal, star of the hit television series Normal People, has said that he finds the internet's fascination with his GAA shorts to be 'thrilling'.
However, Mescal eventually had to give up the sport to focus on acting, as he explained on Late Night with Seth Meyers last year how he injured himself playing days before his final year in acting school."I broke my nose and my jaw, I broke my jaw two days before starting my final year in drama school."I found out that they don't really go hand in hand. You can't really act with a broken jaw.
