The crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 35E, just north of the Oak Lawn Avenue exit, according to the Dallas County sheriff’s office.Authorities are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian hit-and-run crash that occurred Wednesday morning in the Stemmons Corridor, the Dallas County sheriff’s office said.
Shortly before 9:30 a.m., Dallas County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to respond to a major crash on the southbound lanes of Interstate 35E over Market Center Boulevard, just north of the Oak Lawn Avenue exit, the sheriff’s office said in a news release. Sheriff’s deputies found the body of a pedestrian that appeared to have been struck by a vehicle, the release stated.
No vehicles were at the location when authorities arrived at the scene, but investigators believe that the pedestrian, whose identity the sheriff’s office has not released, may have been struck by a semi-truck, according to the release.Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department at
