Mescal jets into Dublin this week for the premiere of Gladiator II at the Lighthouse Cinema in Smithfield, Dublin
Gladiator II star Pedro Pascal has praised his co-star Paul Mescal for helping him “light up” scenes while filming together.
When commended on how he “lit up” the cinema in his first scene, Pedro said: “I think ships and the fireballs and the fortified wall and Paul Mescal – they help with lighting up the opening sequence! But it was an unbelievable thing. “I don't even think it's legal for me to say, because we would start, like, I'd start at the back of the ship in the General's tower, and end with, you know, sprinting off of the drawbridge onto the wall in one shot.
“I was absolutely s**tting myself. He looks at me and he goes, ‘Are you nervous?’ and I didn’t know what the appropriate answer was, so I was like, ‘Argh’.”
