A consultation will look at changes to the eligibility criteria, assessment process and types of support that can be offered through PIP.

People suffering from depression or anxiety could lose access to Personal Independence Payments as part of UK Government welfare reform plans to be outlined in a new online consultation due to be published on April 29.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced major changes to the welfare system earlier this month, when he said “people with less severe mental health conditions should be expected to engage with the world of work”.
