Pep Guardiola agrees that Cole Palmer's exit from Manchester City this summer was a shame, but congratulated his former academy winger on his impressive start to life at Chelsea.
Starting by praising academy graduate Rico Lewis, Guardiola stressed the importance of keeping home-grown City players in the first team. "Yeah , congratulations for Chelsea," the manager said. "We're really pleased . He wanted game time and he has it, so congratulations. He's a guy who came from the academy. If he is having success, it's good for him and we wish him the best."
