Rebekah Vardy's evidence was described as 'inconsistent, evasive and implausible'
When Coleen Rooney won her "Wagatha Christie" libel battle in the High Court she celebrated in the perfect way for her and her family.
While Rebekah Vardy danced away the "devastation" of losing the trial at a music festival, Coleen took a completely different approach. At the time a source close to Rebekah, 40, told the Mirror: "Rebekah has a close-knit circle of friends who were adamant she was going to have a fun-filled weekend, regardless of the outcome of the trial.
"A group of mates took her to the Classic Ibiza festival so she could dance through Saturday night and forget her problems." Coleen, 37, won the case in July 2022 after the High Court found her claim that Rebekah had leaked personal information about her was "substantially true". Following the verdict, Rebekah said she "cannot accept" the "wrong" judgment, adding: "I brought this action to vindicate my reputation and am devastated by the judge's finding."
Coleen celebrated her win with a meal at Chinese restaurant Wing's as husband Wayne flew back from Washington DC to join her. After the ruling, Coleen said: "It was not a case I ever sought or wanted."Receive newsletters with the biggest and breaking TV and showbiz news by signing up here
