Jessica O'Mahony, solicitor and wife of Ireland rugby hero Peter O'Mahony, has expressed her sadness at Ireland's heartbreaking Rugby World Cup quarter-final loss to New Zealand.
Ireland suffered an agonising 28-24 loss to The All-Blacks on Saturday night ensuring their Rugby World Cup quarter-final curse remains very much intact. O'Mahony expressed her emotions on Instagram in a post that read: "Heartbroken for the team & for Pete."Grateful to have experienced the past 6 weeks. To have met so many Irish supporters out there was so special & to have watched the guys play like they did was brilliant. They did us so proud.Hubby Peter is considering his future following the agonising defeat and could follow Keith Earls and Johnny Sexton in retiring from the Ireland side.
The Irish team are due back in Dublin this evening and are expected to receive a heroes welcome at Dublin Airport.
