PG&E has reached a settlement with the district attorneys from six California counties over the 2021 Dixie Fire, as well as the 2019 Kincade Fire

As part of agreement, no criminal charges will be pursued by the California county district attorneys

Photo: Josh Edelson/AFPPG&E Corp. has reached a settlement with the district attorneys from six California counties over the 2021 Dixie Fire, as well as the 2019 Kincade Fire.

The settlement requires PG&E to pay around $55 million over five years. That sum includes payments to residents who lost their homes and for improvements to existing electrical infrastructure. The company must donate more than $35 million to local charities, among other obligations.
