The former Sunderland defender now plies his trade at Burnley but started his career at United under Sir Alex Ferguson
Burnley defender Phil Bardsley has revealed he recently received the infamous hairdryer treatment from Sir Alex Ferguson 12 years after he left Manchester United to join Sunderland.
He eventually left permanently to join the Black Cats, but it appears Ferguson still enjoys giving his former player a hard time. "I'm 33 at the time, stood there trying to cross and I've just had a rollocking from the gaffer. I was only going to my wife's shop to pick something up!" "Coming from Salford and playing for United meant I was always living in a goldfish bowl," he continued. "I do look at my younger days and think what might have happened if I'd made a few different lifestyle choices.
