Phil Foden has described Manchester City’s attack as “frightening” ahead of facing Nottingham Forest.
The Premier League champions swept Brighton aside 4-0 on Thursday night, ahead of facing Forest at the City Ground on Sunday. Foden scored a first-half double after Kevin De Bruyne had put Pep Guardiola’s side ahead. Julian Alvarez added a fourth goal in the second half. City were missing star striker Erling Haaland, who could return against Forest, but they were still in devastating form in front of goal. “They like to go man for man and play beautiful football but I think with Kev’s goal and the luck with my second goal, it settles us and we grew into the game. In the first half it was frightening the way we attacked.” Guardiola has hinted Haaland could return against the Reds, after missing their victory over Brighton due to a muscle injury. "I prefer to have Erling at my disposal than to have it ,” he said after the match. "I spoke with him, and he says he feels better, I don't know.”
