COLUMBUS, Ohio – Philadelphia Eagles offensive guard Josh Sills was indicted Tuesday by a Southeast Ohio grand jury on charges of rape and kidnapping.
Sills, a 25-year-old resident of Noble County, allegedly engaged in non-consensual sexual activity and held a victim referred to by her initials M.M. against her will in December of 2019,The crime was immediately reported, after which the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation, according to a release from Attorney General Dave Yost’s office, which is prosecuting the case.
Sills has been charged with one count of rape and one count of kidnapping, both of which are first-degree felonies. Each charge can bring up to 16.5 years in prison.Sills, who played football for the University of West Virginia and Oklahoma State University, was signed by the Eagles last year as an undrafted free agent. He played in one game this season for the Super Bowl-bound Eagles.
