The Belgian has signed a contract extension to keep him at Ibrox until 2028.
Philippe Clement outlined his Ibrox blueprint after pinning a new deal as he admitted he’d rather have had a Rangers renovation than a rebuild.
“But we lost the core for several reasons and the core was getting older and their abilities were not improving or would not improve in the next couple of years so we had to make a rebuild.
“I feel a good vibe and it's a big period. We know we’re not at our top, we can’t be, after rebuilding that much but I have a lot of confidence in the future and it’s about sticking together, working hard, having the fans behind us and having that supporter behind us at Hampden, as we would at Ibrox, to make a good start to the season.”
“It’s what I wanted and something that naturally started a while ago. You come into the building, the results weren’t good at that moment so you try to change that as as fast as possible with the squad available and all the resources available.
