Phillip Schofield has said he has "lost everything" following his affair with a younger male colleague during his time on This Morning.
The jaw-dropping new interview follows weeks of intense scrutiny surrounding Phillip, which saw him quit This Morning and admit to having an affair with a much younger male colleague on the show, whilst still being married to his wife, Stephanie Lowe. He did so on May 20, as he tellingly said "I understand that ITV have decided the current situation can't go on," whilst saying that he was "stepping down".
"So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future. I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me – especially This Morning’s amazing viewers – and I’ll see you all for the Soap Awards next month."
