Phillip Schofield has reportedly escaped to Cornwall for some peace and quiet following his exit from This Morning

The mother and son hugged and laughed as they basked in the sunshine and enjoyed each other’s company.The pictures were taken moments after Phil shared a statement on his Instagram page announcing that his appearance on This Morning on Thursday was his last.He wrote at the time: ‘I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning. But recently, This Morning itself has become the story.
‘I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.’
