Miami-Dade County Court told alleged victim had withdrawn statements given to law enforcement officials
The case was due to go to trial today before Miami-Dade County Court but the court was told that the alleged victim in the case was not present and had withdrawn statements that he had given to law enforcement officials.The mixed martial arts fighter was arrested in Miami Beach on 11 March.
Police said the alleged victim in the incident was taking a picture of McGregor outside a hotel when he slapped the man's phone out of his hand, stamped on it several times and walked away with it. On 10 April, lawyers for McGregor entered pleas of not guilty to charges of "robbery by sudden snatching" and criminal mischief.McGregor did not appear in person in court as he was not required to be present.
