An Garda Síochána has issued an image of a "particularly significant" seizure of firearms and ammunition in Louth on Friday that led to the arrests of two men in their 30s.
During the course of this search, which took place at a premises on the outskirts of Ardee, Gardaí seized 6 AR-15 assault rifles and 12 semi-automatic 9mm handguns. A number of follow-on searches were carried out at several properties in the county later on Friday, with assistance provided by Gardaí from the Louth Divisional Crime Unit, Louth Drug Units as well as the Garda Dog Unit.
