According to experts Sebastian Michaelis and Postcard Teas owner Tim d’Offay, people who put the milk in before the hot water are just plain wrong., they insist that milk before water means “you will reduce the water temperature and inhibit brewing,” whereas you can “control the strength of the tea much more easily” by adding milk last.
