Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was left unhappy after Liverpool's 2-0 derby win at Anfield on Saturday
Jordan Pickford believes it was "no shock" refereeing decisions went against Everton during their 2-0 Merseyside derby defeat to Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.
Young was first carded for a foul on Luis Diaz in midfield and was dismissed 19 minutes later after again bringing the Colombian forward to ground. "It's a tough day. It's always going to be tough to come to Anfield as an Everton player," commented the Everton goalkeeper after the full-time whistle. "We gave it our all, worked hard and decisions definitely didn't go our way, no shock there.
Pushed further to explain which decisions he believed were unfair on Everton, Pickford told Premier League Productions: "It's not rocket science to work it out, I think the whole world will know. We can't comment too much because you will just get done anyway. A bit of dialogue would be nice and less arrogance would be nice as well."
