An image captured on a ScotRail train showing two identical-looking passengers has left many on social media in stitches.Racking up thousands of shares online, the photo shows two older, balding, greying men with black glasses and grey beards looking at their phones, which are held in their right hands.
Plenty joked that there 'was a glitch in the matrix' in reference to the classic 1999 film starring Keanu Reeves, where the majority of human beings live in an artificial reality and deja vu is a sign of a glitch in the computer system they are wired up to. One imgur user joked on the picture-sharing site: "Amazing coincidence? No, just twin brothers riding the train with their wives." Another said: "It's like one of those "spot the differences" puzzles. Full beard vs goatee. Shirt pocket pattern vertical vs diagonal."One wrote: "It's just one guy and he's moving back and forth super fast." A second said: "Hey, I know one, or both, of those guys!". A third added: "Copy + Paste.
On Facebook, after the image was shared on The Archbishop of Banterbury page, one person said: "I hope these men see this. Even better if they saw each other at the time."And another follower wrote: "It’s the space/time continuum. The phasing is out." On another Facebook share of the picture, a user wrote: "Glitches like this happen occasionally when software is being updated.
