Pierre Gasly will have to go off to see the stewards... F1 SpanishGP

Pierre Gasly’s P4 at risk with double grid place penalty loomingPierre Galsy’s strong performance in qualifying could soon be all undone as he faces two accusations of impeding by the stewards.

The first came during Q1 when Gasly let the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc go by but was presumably not told that Carlos Sainz was also in close proximity. The Spaniard had to abort his flying lap and complained about Gasly’s block over the team radio. As a result of both incidents, Gasly has twice been summoned along with an Alpine team representative to speak with the stewards with the first of those meetings coming at 1800 CEST. That meeting will deal with the Sainz incident and at 1815 CEST, Verstappen will be in the stewards room to discuss the second impeding allegation.

The Alpine driver could face a deletion of his lap time but more realistically, a grid place penalty.Charles Leclerc being handed a three-place penalty during the last race in Monaco
