The European resort is now the place to go for a party holiday - beating Magaluf, Benidorm and Amsterdam

A beach resort, just a short flight from Liverpool, has been dubbed the "Blackpool abroad" with hotels costing £9 and pints 80p.

Each year, 100,000 Brits head to Sunny Beach, looking for a cheap holiday in the sun. The resort on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast is famous for its long, sandy stretches of beaches and lively nightlife. The sand on its eight-kilometre beach is clay-coloured and very fine - making it ideal for sunbathing. It has also been awarded a 'Blue Flag' which is a title given to beaches in Europe that are clean and safe.

There is also a basilica and fortress that dates back to the Middle Ages. According to the Daily Star, hotels cost around £9 per night and pints are 80p.
