New plans have been unveiled
A veterinary practice could be opening in a Wollaton shopping precinct that houses several other businesses and a Lidl supermarket. The site on Trowell Road was previously a Waitrose supermarket and petrol station, with the national business exchanging contracts with Lidl in 2019.
But a unit at the back of the site has remained vacant and the operator of several East Midlands veterinary practices has now been revealed as a business that could fill it. Planning permission had been granted in 2020 for a gym to fill the vacant unit, but this never materialised.Ambivet now says it wants to use the space as a veterinary clinic featuring six consultation rooms, two theatres, an X-ray room and several other facilities.
