Eighty-one single-family ranch homes and patio condominiums designed with empty nesters in mind likely will be built along Grove City’s western edge.
Pulte Homes of Ohio’s Hickory Creek “patio home community” would be built on 35 acres north of Orders Road and west of Southern Grove Drive.
Council rezoned 32.25 acres of the site from single-family residential to planned development residential. Hilz said the site would include about 12 acres of open and green space plus multiuse paths and sidewalks and landscaping on the project's east side. The documents add,"The development will provide an enclave of single-family homes set in a landscaped site and organized around large open space reserves. Homes will have a traditional architectural character and will be oriented to take advantage of views into the large open space areas. ... A landscape treatment will provide buffering of the homes from Orders Road."
