Springfield Partnerships, the affordable housing arm of Springfield Properties, has submitted the proposals to West Lothian Council

Springfield Partnerships, the affordable housing arm of Springfield Properties, has submitted proposals to West Lothian Council for 47 new homes in Ladywell.

The site, just off Ladywell East Road, has lain vacant since Cedarbank school relocated in 2022 leaving the derelict building an eyesore within the community. The proposal set to transform the area includes two bedroom apartments with ample green space, an informal seating area, parking with provision for EV charging and a large bike store.

The much needed affordable homes include innovative heating systems to help keep running costs low for residents and the development encourages active travel with strong walking, jogging and cycle links to nearby shops and amenities within the wider Ladybank area in line with the Scottish Government 20 minute neighbourhoods’ initiative.

Springfield Partnerships Managing Director, Tom Leggeat, said: “Scotland is crying out for more homes, and we are pleased to submit our plans for 47 new, affordable, high quality and energy efficient homes that will revitalise this derelict site within a residential area of Livingston. “These affordable apartments would provide accessible living to local people who need it the most and in an area where all the local infrastructure needed to support them already exists.
