Plans to serve affordable food to students and low income families have been submitted to Glasgow City Council.
Glasgow East speak out ahead of General Election 2024says: “We are applying for a licence to operate a hot food aimed at students within Glasgow City, where customers can indulge in nutritious, freshly made, and authentic South Asian food.
“Our food will be pre-made through a local supplier who will cook on their premises every second day. Each meal will be made with no use of frozen ingredients, and we are committed to using the highest quality ingredients to ensure the nutritional value of every dish. We are not a fast-food business and have distinctly separated ourselves from this concept.
“Our approach to cooking prioritises healthy methods such as specific use of types of oils, grilling and steaming. We will be storing the food in fridges, with nothing frozen, reheating using the best commercial ovens available on the market.”The cafe will operate from 9am until 10pm seven days a week.“Our conscious approach to packaging reflects our concern for the well-being of our community and our planet.
