Queen's tea with Paddington ☕, a partygate joke and Prince George sings Sweet Caroline 🎵 - key moments from Jubilee party
The film showed the Queen and Paddington sharing tea and sandwiches, before they tapped out the beat of Queen's We Will Rock You on teacups.The comedian, performing as an MC for the night, took aim at Boris Johnson with a partygate joke in the opening minutes of the event.
William mentioned the efforts of"visionary environmentalists", naming broadcaster and naturalist Sir David Attenborough, and"my grandfather and my father", the Duke of Edinburgh and Prince of Wales, who have championed the natural world. He went on to say:"While no-one's grandmother thanks them for talking about their age, my own grandmother has been alive for nearly a century. In that time, mankind has benefited from unimaginable technological developments and scientific breakthroughs.
Speaking at the end of the Buckingham Palace gig, the Prince of Wales said Her Majesty has been"with us in our difficult times".
